The next two sets include a brown and light blue polka-dot paper and blue raffia flower ties. (I can’t recall what line the paper is from, sorry!) Click here to view the listing.

Finally, I have two sets of five brown and light blue paisley-patterned paper with blue raffia ties (same paper line as above… but the name escapes me). Click here to view the listing.

If you have a specific gift card color scheme/design you’re looking for or would like them in a larger quantity, please send me an email (amykant-at-gmail-dot-com) or convo me on Etsy.

Logo needed for business cards, print materials, rubber stamp

This is embarrassing, but I’m looking for a logo for this site, business cards and a custom-made rubber stamp to put on my handmade paper goods.

Why is it embarrassing? Because I do some graphic design at work but I am just not feeling the inspiration for my own site. I have some ideas in my head but am having problems converting these ideas into an actual logo.

Ideally, this logo would be flexible (look good at 90×90px or 500×500 px), possibly square-shaped and not too complex. I love simple designs and even a cool line-drawing type logo using my initials - AK or AMK - would be ok.

As I mentioned, I’m looking for this logo to be easily transferred onto a regular-sized business card, incorporated into the header of this website and also be part of a custom-ordered rubber stamp for use on the back of all my handmade paper goods.

You interested? Know of someone who might be interested? I’m willing to pay or barter and want full copyright ownership of logo upon completion.

Contact me for more information or to pitch your design. amykant-at-gmail-dot-com.

Who knows… maybe I’ll magically come up with something in photoshop in the next week or so… but due to a recent injury (longggggggggg story) I have to limit my time on the computer (typing aggrevates the injury).

Support My Friend Ernesto

My friend/colleague Ernesto Santiago-Norat has been battling cancer since 2007. He is an amazing (and Emmy-award winning photojournalist) and extremely talented photographer.

Ernie has such a big heart. He’s been through so much and yet, whenever he steps into the room you can’t help but smile. He has two little girls and his family is having problems covering all the medical bills. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so at any U.S. Bank Location - “Ernesto Santiago-Norat Fund” or you can check out Ernie’s Web site and purchase a print of one of his still photos. Check it out!

There’s also going to be a benefit THIS SATURDAY - May 17 from 6 - 9 p.m. in Milwaukee. I left the flyer at work but will post that information tomorrow.

Here’s a little more info about Ernie from his website:

Ernesto Santiago-Norat is an Emmy Award Photojournalist Winner who has dedicated his sixteen years of career to serve the people, his community and the nation bringing the best pictures in news casts to the public.

Now Ernesto has had to confront the worst news possible to any person. He has been diagnosed with “Meningeal Melanocytoma” a very rare type of Cancer affecting his brain and liver and is currently receiving Full Brain Radio therapy.

Since photography has been his passion, anything that Ernesto sees is like he perceives it through a photography lens. Now those pictures that he took for pleasure serve him back by helping Ernesto and his family pay for his treatment expenses not covered by insurance.

Everybody can enjoy life’s beautiful sightings. And we hope that through this page you can see some beautiful moments in life we sometimes take for granted.

Ernesto now sees that life is too short and he would like for you to enjoy it. We hope you enjoy his pictures and vision.
